Spring Blossoms - (c) Eric Tsai

How do you take pictures of flowers? Is there a definite way? Each flower is unique in the surroundings and the light the glances off the petals in a million different arrangements. My favorite way to take pictures is with very shallow depth of field. This throws most of the picture into blurry backgrounds and creamy foregrounds with a sliver of sharpness that grabs at attention towards the main subject.
